A small bag is shown to the audience along with two handkerchiefs. One hanky is a solid color and the other is white. The solid color and white handkerchiefs are placed into the bag one at a time and with the pass of a magic wand or the wave of a hand the audience is told that the handkerchiefs changed places. One by one the hankies are removed from the bag and shown to the audience. “The solid color hanky is now white and the white hanky is now the solid color.” This is what the audience is told. Even though the audience does not seem impressed, the magician changes the two colored handkerchiefs back to their original colors. After a few moments of comedy with the audience trying to convince them that the handkerchiefs really changed places, the magician announces that he is only going to change the handkerchiefs half way.

Both handkerchiefs are placed back in the bag one at a time and once again a magical pass is made with a wand or hand. This time when the handkerchiefs are removed from the bag, one will be the solid color with white polka dots and the other will be white with solid color polka dots. The magician now asks, “Where did all these spots come from?” He looks into the bag while calling, “Spot! Spot! Are you in there?” The bag is now turned inside out and it has transformed itself into a cute little dog: of course, named SPOT.

The effect includes bag, silks and “Spot” along with a great routine.
