Six cups, which are numbered from one to six, are shown on a platform. In each cup, an amount of cash is placed. This can be a $20 bill, and five coins. A group (5) of spectators is called from the audience. One by one the spectators are asked to roll the die. They are told that whatever number they roll, they will get what is under that cup. For example, if a three is thrown on the die, the number three cup is lifted up and they get that prize.
It is further explained that you will get the last cup. The spectators are also told that if they throw a number that has already been thrown to roll the die again. No matter what the spectator’s roll, you always wind up a winner!
