At any time, something makes you nervous, you wipe your forehead with the sponge, then squeeze it over the bucket, producing large amounts of water.
But there’s more… You leave the sponge on the tray, and with no cover, switch or suspicious moves, you repeat the gag as often as you wish. You can wipe the brow of a nervous spectator too and squeeze out the water. This is a great running gag!
